Bonifacio Global City
Also known as BGC, Global City, or The Fort, Bonifacio Global City is a financial district in Metro Manila, Philippines. Sitting on a mountain of underdeveloped land, it has transformed into an independent, fully-functioning micro-city.
Located between EDSA and C-5 Road, BGC has seven major access points, making it one of the most coveted real estate investments in the Philippines. BGC can be accessed via:
- Kalayaan Avenue connecting to the North Gate and the Kalayaan Flyover;
- EDSA through McKinley Road and to the McKinley Gate from the west;
- Upper East Gate, Sampaguita Gate, and Lower East Gate) from C-5 highway in the East, and;
- the Villamor Airbase to the South Gate by Fifth Avenue and Lawton Avenue from the main international airport.
The growth of BGC is anchored by its popular shopping and lifestyle centers such as Market! Market!, Bonifacio High Street, Fort Strip, and Uptown Mall. Over the last few years, it has been noted that several local and multinational corporations have migrated to BGC via property acquisitions or rentals for its global, regional or national headquarters.
There are several residential condominiums ranging from midrange to ultra-luxury in this community. Bonifacio Global City is also home to a few of the tallest condominium buildings to date.
As a pedestrian-friendly community, BGC has several parks and green spaces where people of all ages can relax or exercise. The urban planning in BGC makes the community attractive to major concerts, public relations events, and even marathons.
BGC is commuter-friendly as well, thanks to their scheduled bus system. Commuters can easily board a bus at dedicated bus stations in EDSA and Market! Market! to several drop-off points in BGC.
