Taguig’s official motto is “Think Big, Dream Big, I Love Taguig.” It seems appropriate considering that Taguig has seen significant economic and infrastructure growth over the past few decades. Formerly a sleepy fishing town that made a lot of money from production, Taguig is now a thriving metropolitan city that meets the tastes of Manila and Quezon.

Look at these top 5 tourist attractions in Taguig:

1. Bonifacio High Street

Bonifacio High Street is not like a typical indoor shopping mall in Metro Manila. Its combination of high-end stores, restaurants, resorts, and entertainment venues spread across a wide range of open stores and commercial interiors.

2. Heroes Cemetery

Heroes Cemetery was established in 1947. At first, it was named “Republic Memorial Cemetery,” but was renamed in 1954 by President Ramon Magsaysay as Heroes Cemetery. It is the first cemetery dedicated to Filipino soldiers who defended their region.

The grounds are clean and well maintained. Visit the viewing area where you can look down on all the crosses and find out how much violence the Philippines has had to endure to get to where they are today. It is indeed a strong reminder of the complex history of this country.

3. Venice Grand Mall

If you want to visit the canals of Venice without spending a fortune and flying abroad, then head to the Venice Grand Mall. Often referred to as the “Italian fragment of the Philippines,” you and your loved ones can enjoy the colorful and beautiful architecture of this building while you are in the gondola. After that, you can go shopping or take a bite at one of the many restaurants at The Venice Grand Canal Mall. Located at Cluster B, McKinley Hill Garden Villas along Upper McKinley Road.

5. Burgos Circle

It was initially built as a road circle within Bonifacio Global City and soon became a hotbed of restaurants and hangouts. There are a variety of bars, cafes, clubs, and restaurants where you can find alfresco food and enjoy the area’s open space. In the center of the Burgos Circle, there is a small park featuring The Trees, a bronze statue of Reynato Paz Contreras.
